Festival season is warming up
It's been a busy spring with lots of great shows and chances to work with awesome folks. Highlights in the past month include presenting the debut of a new duo project with Ben Brown on drums and myself on marimba, teaching a drum workshop in the Comox Valley, and celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Locarno at Fan Club, one of Vancouver's newest live music venues. June means festival season is beginning and I'm excited to be a part of the following festivals around town and a ferry ride away.
June 7th - You will find me playing a solo marimba show at in the house festival, sharing the bill with Orchid Ensemble and Vashaan for the World in Music. http://inthehousefestival.com/festival-2013/

June 26th - Jazz festival in the city is in full swing. I will be playing with Locarno at the Fan Club on granville. This will be an early show. 6-9 pm. Come join us and have dinner, cocktails or just dance. This will be our only show in Vancouver this summer, before we head off to festivals all over B.C. and further afield, so hope to see you there!
June 29th - I am excited to join Mazacote once again for a set at the David Lam Park on saturday afternoon. This weekend is always my favourite part of jazz festival and the line-up this year is definitely leaning to the Latin side. Come for a while or stay all day. Plenty to see and do
Hope to see you soon!
